Following 11 weeks in a row with an increase in tonnes exported on last year (rolling four week basis), volumes have now declined for two consecutive weeks.

Prices for the week increased for the 60th week in a row on last year (rolling four week basis). For comparison purposes, prices increased for 154 consecutive weeks during the week 24 in 2008 to week 20 in 2011.

Due to continued YoY growth in prices, the total value of exports expanded on last year as well and increased for the 80th week in a row on last year (on a rolling four week basis). For comparison purposes, value of exports increased for 141 consecutive weeks during week 39 in 2008 to week 22 in 2011, so the current run in export growth is not a first.
